Founded by Father Michael J. McGivney to provide financial aid to immigrants and families suffering from the death of the breadwinner, the Knights of Columbus has grown to over 15,000 councils and 1.9 million members. “Whether at home or abroad, charity is our Order’s first principle and the basis for all we do as brother Knights. It is the tangible way that we live out that spirit of fraternity and “missionary discipleship” to which Pope Francis has called us.” - Supreme Knight Carl Anderson
